    Your Day-to-Day

    • Deliver engaging instruction across core subjects, GED prep, and enrichment activities.
    • Collaborate with mental health professionals to integrate treatment plans into learning.
    • Support students with IEPs alongside Special Education Teachers.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide crisis intervention when needed.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with program development.

    What You Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
    • Current Alaska teaching certificate (or substitute accepted by FNSBSD).
    • Ability to work as part of an education and mental health team.
    • Familiarity with special education laws.
    • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
    • Physical ability for crisis intervention techniques (training provided).
