    Dynamic Small Commercial General Contractor (Anchorage, Alaska) Annual revenue $1.5M – $2.5M Our client is a well-established, hands-on commercial general contracting firm seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join the leadership team. This is not a typical “employee” role. The right candidate will start as a key Estimator/Project Manager and, within a defined timeline, transition into a full equity partner and executive leadership position.     Key Responsibilities
    • Prepare accurate, competitive estimates and bids for commercial construction projects (ground-up, tenant improvements, renovations, and design-build).
    • Lead subcontractor bidding, negotiations, and buyout processes.
    • Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout: scheduling, budget control, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, change orders, and client relations.
    • Oversee job-site quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic growth planning.
    • You will the number 2 in the company and as an employee on a partnership track will participate in company-wide decision-making, financial oversight, and long-term business development.

    • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field (required).
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial general contracting, with significant hands-on expertise in both estimating and project management.
    • Proven ability to win profitable work and manage projects profitably.
    • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, Buildertrend (or similar), estimating software, and scheduling tools.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
