Advocacy Program Manager
The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce is seeking a proactive individual to join our team as Advocacy Program Manager. This role will be focused on managing the Chamber’s advocacy efforts to create a positive environment for businesses of all sizes to prosper in our region. You will be responsible for leading maintenance and implementation of the Chamber’s Advocacy Agenda, communicating the Chamber’s positions, drafting resolutions and letters of support in cooperation with Chamber leadership, supporting the Chamber’s advocacy committees, and leading successful advocacy events.
To be successful in this role, strong writing, editing, and communication skills are essential. You also must be prepared to manage competing priorities in a thoughtful manner while remaining responsive to the needs of many internal and external customers. You will be an essential part of a team which relies on everyone to support one another.
This position requires a minimum of 1 year of prior experience in policy research, government relations, volunteer management, and/or public relations. A Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience are preferred.
