Painter
Location: Fairbanks, AK / Fort Wainwright
Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
TDL Staffing is seeking a dependable and skilled Painter to help maintain residential homes and community buildings at Fort Wainwright. You'll work on a variety of interior painting projects, with occasional exterior work, preparing surfaces and applying paint to help keep homes and community facilities looking their best.
The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting by cleaning, repairing, sanding, masking, and protecting surrounding areas.
- Apply paint and textures to residential homes, common areas, and community buildings using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and texture application equipment.
- Maintain painting tools, equipment, materials, and vehicle inventory in a clean, organized, and ready-to-use condition.
- Complete assigned work according to established schedules and quality standards.
- Assist with additional maintenance projects and duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional painting or related trade experience.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and painting application methods using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain Fort Wainwright access (Real ID required).
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test/physical if required.
- Strong time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Background screening is part of the hiring process for this position.
