    Day-to-day:
    Personnel & Performance: This role will guide managers and their teams to live out the company’s mission every day, setting clear expectations and providing feedback that helps them grow. You’ll oversee staffing plans, coordinate with HR to hire and onboard, and make sure the right people are in the right roles. Along the way, you’ll keep an eye on performance, document progress, and hold leaders accountable for maintaining high standards and a positive culture.
     
    Beyond staffing, you’ll resolve issues as they arise, coach in real time, and proactively assist with training, inventory flow, safety, and customer service as needed. You’ll ensure the team is aligned and engaged with regular check-ins and open communication. 
     
    Customer Service Leadership: You will inspire customer service that keeps customers coming back, ensuring every interaction is professional, helpful and genuine. You’ll have oversight of promotions, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure company quality is reflected in pricing, signage and displays. This includes special orders, loyalty programs and the firearms department, (ensuring adherence to Federal Firearms License requirements), and inventory management standards.
     
    Operations & Inventory Management: This role will lead the Inventory Management team to keep freight moving, stock replenished, and backrooms kept spotless. You will maintain meticulous accuracy standards; cycle counts, price changes, shipping and receiving need to be timely and precise. You’ll initiate seasonal resets and merchandising changes, keeping displays fresh and functional. You will also have oversight of ecommerce and mail order activity, adapting staffing and processes according to business ebb and flow throughout the year. 
     
    Facilities and Finances: You’ll keep the building, vehicles, and supplies in good condition, coordinating with local vendors and managing maintenance routines before issues become problems. Your budgeting experience will assist you in tracking sales, monitoring expenses, and ensuring receipts and documentation stay current and organized. 
     
    We’re looking for: 
    • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
    • Five years of retail or other comparable industry experience. 
    • Two years of management experience
    • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
    • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of engaging the community and other stakeholders
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities 
    • High degree of professionalism in all modes of communication, attitude and teamwork with business partners, team, peers, and management 
    • Basic computer skills and digital communication: Outlook, Teams, Excel
    Preferred: 
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with software programs for scheduling and/or inventory management
