Mill Maintenance Laborer – Full Time | Fort Knox, AK
Pay: $27.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:45 AM–6:45 PM

TDL Staffing is seeking a Mill Maintenance Laborer to join operations at a mine located about 45 minutes outside of Fairbanks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work, takes safety seriously, and thrives in an active, industrial setting.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily mill operations and assist mechanics with maintenance and clean-up tasks
- Operate heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, skid steers) as needed
- Work safely and efficiently in outdoor and industrial environments
- Follow directions accurately and complete assigned tasks with attention to detail
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Safety-minded, with good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions—hot, cold, wet, or dusty
- Construction or general labor experience preferred
- Employer is willing to train dependable candidates who show initiative
Minimum Requirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or skid steers
- Basic tool knowledge and the ability to perform labor-intensive tasks
- Physically capable of working in demanding outdoor environments
- Must support a drug-free workplace
- Background screening is a part of the hiring process for this position
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the mine site
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Steel-toe boots are required
