    A well-established Anchorage event organization is seeking its next Director of Food and Beverage Services. This is a rare opportunity to guide banquet and catering operations for two major convention centers that host many of the state’s largest conferences, celebrations, and community gatherings. The team is experienced, the systems are strong, and the operation runs smoothly. Now they are ready for a leader who can continue the momentum and bring thoughtful improvements to menu quality, cost controls, and guest experience.

    Your day-to-day: As Director of Food and Beverage Services, you will oversee banquet, catering, and food service across both centers. You will partner with culinary leadership, event teams, and operations to deliver smooth execution, accurate financial controls, and consistent guest satisfaction. You will manage people, cost, quality, and systems to support high volume events, often in evenings and on weekends.
     
    You will lead:
    •    People leadership, scheduling, training, and performance management
    •    Banquet and catering execution aligned to BEOs and event flow
    •    Food and beverage cost control, inventory, pricing, payroll, and gratuities
    •    Operational reporting, labor forecasting, and budget support
    •    System use including ADP, ABI, POS, Excel, and event management tools
    •    Linen, beverage, and equipment inventories, repairs, and maintenance
    •    Culinary collaboration on menu quality, pricing, and presentation
     
    We’re looking for:
    •    Three or more years of leadership in food and beverage, catering, or banquets
    •    Strength in cost controls, inventory, menu pricing, and high volume events
    •    Union experience helpful
    •    Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
    •    Knowledge of health, food safety, and alcohol service rules
    •    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting
    •    Experience with scheduling, payroll, POS, and event systems
    •    A steady, collaborative leadership style grounded in professionalism and respect
     
    A degree in Hospitality or a related field is welcome but not required. Demonstrated real world experience is highly valued.
