World Eskimo-Indian Olympics
-
The World Eskimo-Indian Olympics was founded in Fairbanks in 1961 with the intent of bringing cultural assets from Native villages across Alaska into the Fairbanks community to be shared with local residents and visitors. The 4-day event includes ancestral Native games, Eskimo & Indian dancing, and artistic creations can all be found at WEIO. Watch the blanket toss, high kick or seal skinning competitions while exploring the Arts & Craft fair onsite.
