Steam Train Rides at Pioneer Park

All Aboard! Ride the Tanana Valley Railroad's Gold Dust Line featuring the 124-year-old Steam Engine No. 1, which is the oldest operating piece of machinery from the golden past of the early days of Fairbanks. Riding the Gold Dust Line will give you the feel of the early day Fairbanks gold mining camp, as you hear the chug of the engine, smell the steam and coal, and see the signs designating all the stops on the historic Tanana Valley Railroad. Our friendly crew will be on hand to give tours and answer questions for this special Golden Days event.
