KUAC Red Green Regatta 2012
-
Instant Fun -- Just Add Water – and Duct Tape!
KUAC’s Red Green Regatta launches Sunday, July 22nd, 2012 and features a special judge: Red Green, live and in person! KUAC’s Sweet 16th annual “flotilla of fun” launches at 11 a.m. from Graehl Landing Park and finishes at Pioneer Park. The Red Green Regatta is not a race but a riotous float down the Chena River to celebrate the “can-do spirit” of The Red Green Show, which airs Saturday nights at 8 p.m. on KUAC TV.
Prizes are awarded for creative use of the Handyman’s secret weapon (duct tape), the craft’s ability to stay afloat, and integration of the Red Green theme. Presenting sponsor is Bettisworth North. This event is part of the grand finale of Golden Days festivities.
Early bird registration is $25 by June 25th; $30 per vessel after June 25th. For more information, registration forms, photos from last year's Regatta and a list of all sponsors, please visit our website at www.kuac.org.
