KUAC Red Green Regatta
-
Alaska’s premiere Duct Tape Event, KUAC’s Red Green Regatta launches its 15th annual flotilla of fun on Sunday, July 24th 2011 at 11 a.m., on the Chena River in Fairbanks starting at Graehl Park and finishing at Pioneer Park.
The Red Green Regatta is not a race but a float down the river to celebrate the “can-do spirit” of The Red Green Show, which airs Saturday nights at 8 p.m. on AlaskaOne. Prizes are awarded for creative use of the Handyman’s secret weapon (duct tape), the craft’s ability to stay afloat, and integration of the Red Green theme. Prizes are generously provided by Paddler's Cove Outfitters and Compeau’s. Presenting Sponsor is Bettisworth North.
Don’t miss the BOAT! Early bird registration is $25 by July 15; after that, $30 per vessel entry. Visit the KUAC website for complete rules and registration information: www.kuac.org.
