Introduction to Field Entomology
-
Are you intrigued and fascinated by the most diverse group of all organisms---insects? Want to learn more about them while learning the professional procedures and techniques to collect and process (sort, mount, database and label) the non-marine arthropods? This weekend course will take you out in the field with an expert to explore and collect insects from different environs in the Fairbanks area. Profile: Derek Sikes, Curator of Insects at the UA Museum of the North and Assistant Professor of Entomology, is thrilled to have the opportunity to share his passion with others so inclined.
