Workshop Level: Beginner Class limited to 12 What you'll learn in this google analytics training: Everyone wants to grow their business and make their product successful. But how do you know if you are making progress to your goals? And how do you know what marketing activities are the most efficient and cost effective to pursue? That is the job of analytics and Google Analytics in particular. Without analytics, strategies, goals and marketing are empty. This workshop covers the fundamental of digital analytics and introduces you to the key concepts and metrics of Google Analytics. Learn how to create a test and measurement plan. Understand the difference between actionable vs. vanity metrics and how the former can inform your marketing efforts. Get some examples of quick win strategies you can start today. By the end of the workshop you may not be a Google Analytics expert, but you will know how to look for the right answers to your questions and have an understanding of how to use analytics to inform, refine and shape your marketing efforts and goals. Takeaways: Define success for a marketing campaign using the language of actionable metrics in Google Analytics Identify the right metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) to track for a given product at different points in the life cycle Create a Google Analytics test and measurement plan. Preparation: Ability to add or modify a snippet of code on your website pages or access to a coder to do it for you Some experience with Google Analytics useful but not required. Participants should bring their laptops If participants already have a website with a GA account, they should be able to login and look at their reports. Please bring a laptop to workshop if your workshop requires computer related work. There will not be computers provided in workshop.
