Alaska Government Contracting Trade Show The Alaska Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is hosting a procurement and business trade fair scheduled for March 9 & 10, 2016 at Pikes Landing in Fairbanks, AK. ?Building Strategic Relationships? is our event theme. Vendors and attendees don?t miss this opportunity to network and strengthen relationships with Alaska businesses! As you know, the government contracting landscape is always changing.This year?s event seeks to provide an opportunity to bring together contracting representatives and businesses to foster connections and strengthen partnerships. Presentations and activities will help answer these questions: How well do you market to your government customers? Are your various registrations up to date? What opportunities can be attained from networking? How do strategic relationships contribute to the success of a company? Which attendee will win the ?Perfect Pitch? elevator speech competition? Is the GSA schedule right for your company? March 9th will be the trade show and includes general sessions, vendor showcase sessions, and a learning lab. Attendees will have an opportunity to interact directly with agency procurement representatives and specialists. Event time is 8:3 am-4:00 pm. Registration opens at 8:00 am. New this year will be a learning lab that will run for 30 minute sessions to provide hands-on demonstration of procurement tools and products or specific information on contracting issues. On March 10, an optional workshop on Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be offered from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. SAP is used for any federal procurement under $150,000 & Commercial acquisition is for supplies and services up to $6.5 million.
