Alaska Business Week

This program gives high school students a hands-on learning opportunity to explore their leadership skills and future career choices, as well as a head start in college.
This simulated business environment immerses students in an actual business scenario of running a business. Competing with other teams, students will also discover their own leadership talents and strengths.
A team of dedicated business executives works directly with students throughout the week to advise and coach the teams in their pursuit of a winning strategy. Participants also receive in-depth briefings from a long roster of entrepreneurs and business leaders covering topics such as leadership, corporate ethics, marketing, and finances.
Students live in the dorms, eat in the dining commons, enjoy the academic and social atmosphere, and get a taste of college life. Students earn two college credits upon successful completion of the program. The total cost for this program is $475, which includes the tuition for academic credits, instruction, room and board, course materials, and use of the college facilities. Some scholarships are available on the basis of demonstrated financial need.
Applications are available by mail or online. The application deadline is May 15th, with preference given to those who apply by May 1st. However, applications will be reviewed and processed on an ongoing basis until all spaces are filled.Alaska Business WeekDate and Time
