2025-2026 Leadership Fairbanks

Are you ready to lead Fairbanks into the future?

Leadership Fairbanks is a transformative 9-month program designed to cultivate a new generation of community-minded leaders. Through immersive, day-long sessions held monthly from October 15 through May, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Fairbanks North Star Borough—its challenges, opportunities, and the people who shape it.

About 27 leaders are selected to participate in nine sessions - once a month for nine months.

Applicants must be able to attend no less than 8 of the 9 sessions and come to each session prepared to contribute by asking questions and sharing their unique perspectives.

All participants must demonstrate the following:

• Passion for the people and future of our region and a personal commitment to help improve the quality of life in the Fairbanks area.
• Commitment to the community through current and past activities.
• Willingness to commit the requisite time and energy to complete the program, which requires the full support of their organizations.

Leadership Fairbanks will allow you to:

• Build Leadership Skills: Engage in world-class leadership and team-building training.
• Understand Your Community: Explore key sectors including government, public safety, education, health, arts, and more.
• Expand Your Network: Connect with a diverse cohort of peers and influential leaders across the region.
• Make an Impact: Participate in a group volunteer project that gives back to the community.
