2015 National School Choice Week
-
National School Choice Week is an annual celebration that shines a spotlight on effective education options for all children. Every year thousands of events take place across our nation, bringing positive attention to the importance of high-performing schools. The week is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical celebration featuring all types of educational environments for kids: public, private, charter, online and homeschool. As America's largest annual celebration of educational opportunity, National School Choice Week illustrates the inclusiveness and diversity of school choice. Choice adds vitality to the educational climate in a community. The week brings awareness to the value of effective options, where traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private secular, private non-secular, online learning programs, and homeschool programs come together to celebrate choice.
As Alaskans, we unite around the shared goal of making our future bright and prosperous. The education of our children is an American issue, an Alaskan issue, and a Fairbanks issue - affecting all of us. Let us unite in our support for an educational community that embraces an array of options.
Parents of all ages, business owners, and folks from all areas of commerce are invited to learn about the fine schools our community has to offer on Sunday, January 25, 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Please spread the word and join us in our first-ever all schools Celebrate School Choice Fair!
