On November 10, Kinross Alaska celebrated a significant milestone with its first gold pour from the Gil-Sourdough mine! The Gil mine held its official groundbreaking ceremony in September and expects to add 80-100 jobs in Alaska and produce approximately 160,000 Au eq. oz. over a two-year mine life. The satellite deposits are located 13 kilometres from Fort Knox, with Gil ore processed at the mill. On September 23, Kinross Fort Knox held the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Gil mine!
