Development Intern

Duties

• Assist with planning and coordinating fundraising events, including logistics, vendor communication, and volunteer coordination
• Support digital marketing efforts through social media management, email marketing campaigns and content creation for WordPress websites
• Help research potential funding sources and prepare grant proposals using grant proposal writing best practices
• Contribute to relationship management by engaging with donors, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders through personalized communication strategies
• Support public relations initiatives by managing social media accounts and enhancing community engagement efforts
• Collect data on program outcomes and fundraising activities to inform strategic planning and reporting efforts
• Collaborate with team members on proposal writing for new projects or funding opportunities

Experience

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a university program related to nonprofit management, marketing, communications, or a similar field
• Demonstrated interest or experience in event planning, digital marketing (including social media management), or fundraising activities
• Strong written communication skills with experience in proposal writing or grant applications preferred
• Basic knowledge of email marketing platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of nonprofit operations or volunteer management is a plus
• Passion for youth combined with proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
