    Maintenance Technician

    We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The maintenance technician will be responsible for completing building maintenance and repairs on our units.

    Duties of Maintenance Technician

    · Perform duties received from work orders or projects.

    · Must be familiar with HVAC furnace, do rental unit repairs which include electrical, plumbing, painting, window replacement, door locks, drywalls, a/c repairs.

    · Organize all projects repaired and keep records.

    · General repairs and made ready in accordance with Monroe Group Standards

    · Work within budget limits

    · Monitor all repairs performed by outside contractors.

    · Will be responsible for 24/hr. emergency maintenance calls, will be provided mobile/radio required by all on call maintenance.

    · Up-keep of grounds work, picking up trash, sweeping ect.

    · Monitor and maintain all building systems

    · Assist in annual inspections with outside vendors such as backflow pressure testing, elevators, fire panel and fire extinguishers testing.

    · Ensure all company emergency procedures are in compliance with local, city, state and federal guidelines.

    · Other duties assigned by supervisor

    Requirements

    Must have:

    · Work with assigned hours

    · Valid driver’s license

    · Use hand tools

    · Use maintenance equipment

    · Complete tasks in an efficient manner

    · Own necessary tools related to assigned duties

    · Effective verbal and written communication skills

    · Knowledge of building maintenance like electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing and other maintenance related skills

    · Physically able to

        o  Prolonged standing

        o Move, drag, lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis

        o Specific vision and clear color vision

        o Frequent movement, twist, turn, crouch and reach. Use of hand grasp, feel movement of wrist.

    Experience

    · High School Diploma or equivalent

    · One year of maintenance work experience including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge

    · Experience in affordable housing environment (preferred)

    · Technical training and license (preferred)

    Hours of Operation

    · Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.to 5pm. (one hour of lunch break)

    Pay per Hour

    · $20-$35/DOE
