    Position Summary
    A team of Alaska organizations seeks to hire a Coordinator for a community engagement and planning campaign to increase access to affordable energy upgrades for low-income housing & nonprofits, focused in the Fairbanks, Alaska area. The campaign, funded through a national Buildings Upgrade (UP) Prize, will result in a community-guided implementation plan. The Coordinator will assist with internal team logistics, development of a pilot program, communication and outreach, and overall evolution of the Buildings UP project in Interior Alaska and beyond. The Coordinator will work closely with the Buildings UP Team and partners. The Coordinator will be an employee of Information Insights, a member of the Buildings UP Team, and report to the firm’s Principal Consultant. Other Team members will serve as advisors and mentors for the Coordinator.

    Who We Are
    The organizations and people on the Buildings UP team have been working together on similar energy-focused campaigns for the past 5+ years. One large effort is Solarize Fairbanks, a community campaign helping to reduce barriers of solar PV installations on homes, businesses, and nonprofits in Interior Alaska. An energy efficiency component was added through the Solarize BRITE (Building Resilience in the InTErior) project which deployed an energy upgrade campaign for nonprofits in Fairbanks to receive energy audits, technical assistance, and fundraising support for retrofit installations.

    Information Insights, which will be the hiring organization, is a Small Business Administration-certified Woman-Owned consulting firm based in Fairbanks, Alaska, providing research, facilitation, strategic planning, and administration services to clients throughout rural and urban Alaska.     What We Offer

    • Salary & Classification: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour ($52,000 - $58,240 annual), Exempt
    • FTE: 35 hours/week (0.875 FTE)*
    • Opportunity for continued employment with company if/when Buildings UP Program ends
    • 15 days paid Personal Leave, 17 paid Holidays, paid Year-end Office Closure (4 days), and 1⁄2 day per month public service or education time
