Workforce Development & Education
Talent at the Table
Bringing future workforce talent to the table.
About the Program
Talent at the Table is a Chamber luncheon workforce connection program designed to bring students and emerging workforce talent into the room with Interior Alaska’s business, civic, and community leaders.
The goal is to create earlier, more organic connections between employers and our future workforce. By introducing participants to local business, civic, and policy conversations, the program helps students and emerging professionals build confidence in a professional environment while supporting workforce development and young leader engagement in Interior Alaska.
The experience is designed to be welcoming, connection-focused, and professional without being intimidating.
Who Can Participate?
We welcome a wide range of emerging talent, including:
- High school juniors and seniors
- UAF, CTC, and trade or vocational students
- Adult learners, GED participants, and reskilling participants
- Homeschool students, apprentices, and career-entry participants
Sponsor a Seat
Help build a bridge between today’s leaders and tomorrow’s workforce. Talent at the Table uses a simple, low-barrier sponsorship model that allows businesses and individuals of all sizes to participate.
- Sponsor student luncheon seats at the standard luncheon cost, currently about $30 per seat.
- Sponsorships are pooled into a dedicated Talent at the Table fund and used as students attend.
- Sponsors are recognized on this webpage, on an ongoing Chamber luncheon slide, and when appropriate in weekly luncheon emails.
Advocate. Promote. Develop.Connecting emerging talent with the people, places, and conversations shaping Interior Alaska’s future.
