live at noon on Tuesday, September 1st.
This event is part of our election cycle series to help you understand the choices on your 2020 ballot. The municipal election will take place on Tuesday, October 6.
The Chamber is non-partisan in its approach, and does not endorse or oppose legislation based upon political party philosophies or political party sponsorship. Nor does the Chamber endorse or support candidates for public office. All elected officials are welcome to comment and provide information on legislative issues pending before the Chamber’s Committees and/or the Board or Directors.
The Chamber does take a position on some ballot initiatives when the issues involved intersect with our Advocacy Agenda. The Chamber's official position on Ballot Measure 1 is: "The Chamber opposes the latest attempt to raise taxes by a ballot measure. The "Fair Share Act" is a targeted tax on some of the state's largest investors and would stifle future investment in this high-cost state."
