Fairbanks Chamber Weekly Business Luncheon: "Planning and Zoning: What is it and why does it matter?"
-
Featuring Christine Nelson, Community Planning Director for the Fairbanks North Star Borough
Planning is important for our community because it impacts our quality of life today and into the future. Business and economic development are necessary to a thriving community and are integral elements of the planning process. When the business community has a solid understanding of planning and zoning, they have better information on which to base decisions and everyone benefits. This presentation will provide basic information on planning and zoning that will assist current and future business owners, managers, property owners, and citizens when choosing a location to start a business or where to live, expanding a business, buying or selling property, and a variety of other land use and economic decisions.Date and Time
