Artist Talk with Marji Huffman-Plessinger
-
Fairbanks Arts is pleased to present an artist talk with one of our January exhibitors, Marji Huffman-Plessinger.
Living and creating in Fairbanks, Alaska, Marji was born in Kodiak and grew up mostly in Anchorage. Experiencing Alaska as a child and young person kindled a fire to experience and share the beauty and enchantment that is Alaska. Part of her experience of Alaska is the conviction that there is always something unseen, under that leaf, behind that tree, living inside that little hole. Her exhibition, “Sharing the Enchantment of the Alaskan Passage,” will be on view in the Bear Gallery through January 29. In her talk, Marji will discuss her creations as well as how the magic of Alaska has inspired her work.
The talk will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6 pm in the Bear Gallery. Pre-registration is required and all attendees must wear a mask. This is an in-person only event.
