About the National Civics Bee
The Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce is calling all middle school students!
Share your ideas and flex your civics knowledge in the National Civics Bee®. The Fairbanks Chamber is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.
Participating sixth, seventh and eighth-grade students will showcase their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. Students advance through regional and state competitions, with finalists ultimately competing in the National Civics Bee National Championship.
Why Civics?
The Fairbanks Chamber is participating in the National Civics Bee® because we believe informed and active citizens contribute to a strong community, strong economy and strong workforce.
Through the Bee, we are helping promote civic knowledge across Alaska while giving young people an opportunity to explore how they can make a difference in their own communities.
