School Board Forum

On behalf of the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF), 

 

We are pleased to announce a joint school board forum hosted between our two entities at the UAF Wood Center multilevel lounge on September 17th, 2026 from 5:45pm-7pm. Parking is available and free anywhere at UAF after 5pm. 

 

This forum provides voters, business leaders, students and the UAF community the opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking a local school board seat and to better understand their perspectives on issues affecting our schools, students, educators, workforce development and the future of education in the Fairbanks North Star Borough.

 

The school board forum will be co-moderated by ASUAF Senate Chair, Jesse Tyrrell, and University of Alaska Regent, Karen Perdue. 

 

Following the forum, candidates are invited to join us for a casual meet-and-greet at The Pub at UAF (21+).
