Meet The Staff

Lisa Putnam serves as Interim President & CEO of the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, providing leadership and continuity for the organization as the Chamber completes its search for its next permanent President & CEO.

Lisa brings extensive familiarity with the Chamber and Interior Alaska’s business community, having previously served as President & CEO of the Fairbanks Chamber through 2016. She later continued her involvement with the organization through the Board of Directors and currently serves as Board Chair.

In her interim role, Lisa works alongside Chamber staff, board leadership, members and community partners to advance the organization’s mission, maintain momentum on key initiatives and ensure the Chamber continues serving as a strong voice for business throughout Interior Alaska.

Jackson Nelson serves as Advocacy Coordinator for the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, where he works to strengthen the voice of Interior Alaska’s business community at the local, state and federal levels. In his role, Jackson tracks legislation and public policy, coordinates the Chamber’s advocacy committees, develops policy positions and correspondence, and works with business leaders, elected officials and community partners on issues ranging from energy and infrastructure to workforce development, housing and economic growth.

Jackson joined the Chamber shortly after graduating from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2026. While at UAF, he served as President of the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF), representing students within university governance and advocating on issues affecting students and the institution. During his tenure, he advocated on academic policy, tuition and fee structures, student services and broader university priorities while representing students within both the UAF Faculty Senate and university governance. Jackson also led legislative advocacy efforts in Juneau, served on UAF’s Planning and Budget Committee, and represented students on the search committee that selected Russ Vanderlugt as UAF’s next chancellor.

Jasmine St. Pierre serves as the Events Coordinator for the Fairbanks Chamber, joining in July 2025. She brings experience in event planning, logistics, and operations, with a strong focus on creating organized, welcoming, and meaningful experiences. Jasmine is passionate about bringing people together, advocating for the business community, and creating platforms where relationships can build, connections can grow, and businesses can thrive together. Born and raised in Fairbanks, Jasmine is Dena’ina Athabascan and takes great pride in her heritage, culture, community, and connection to Alaska. Through her work, she collaborates with local businesses, organizations, and community members to encourage engagement, strengthen relationships, and create memorable events throughout Interior Alaska. 

Amanda Millard serves as the Member Relations Coordinator for the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, where she focuses on building strong relationships with members, supporting member engagement, and helping businesses connect with the Chamber’s programs, resources, and advocacy efforts.

Amanda joined the Chamber in January 2026 and brings more than 20 years of customer service experience to her role. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong background in relationship-building, communication, problem-solving, and creating positive experiences for the people and organizations she serves.

At the Chamber, Amanda works closely with current and prospective members to better understand their needs, strengthen their connection to the business community, and help ensure they receive meaningful value from their membership. She enjoys connecting businesses with opportunities that support their growth, visibility, and involvement throughout Interior Alaska..

Lilly Varney joined the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce as Executive Assistant after first becoming involved with the Chamber through her leadership and advocacy work at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Lilly currently serves as Director of Student Advocacy for the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF), following her previous role as Director of Public Relations. In those roles, she has worked across communications, community outreach, event promotion, student engagement and advocacy, helping connect UAF students with resources, opportunities and the broader Fairbanks community.

Her work has also included organizing student-facing events and outreach efforts, including programming surrounding UAF Giving Day, where she helped bring students, alumni and local businesses together through activities designed to strengthen participation and philanthropy. A sophomore pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, Lilly brings a strong interest in business, communications and relationship-building to the Chamber. She particularly enjoys connecting with the business owners, professionals and community leaders shaping Alaska’s economy and learning firsthand how private enterprise contributes to the state’s growth.
