This week's Transportation Committee meeting will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 and will include an update on the Steese Highway/Chena Hot Springs Road Ramp Termini Roundabouts & Steese Highway MP4.5 Off-Ramp Bypass Lane (Project No.: 0650(026)/63467 & 0670(041)NFHWY00020.
Speakers include: Isadora Fanning joined the ADOT&PF Traffic Safety Services in June 2015; coming from NMDOT. She has seven and a half years in construction engineering with the State of New Mexico. Prior to her work in NM she worked with Willdan Group in California providing bridge and civil engineering services.
Carl Heim has worked for 15-years at DOT&PF in both construction and design. He has worked on multiple projects throughout the Fairbanks area including the recently reconstructed College/Margaret/Antoinette Ave intersection next to Geraldo’s.

MISSION: The Transportation Infrastructure Committee advocates for improvement and growth in the transportation infrastructure for the Northern Region including roads, railroad, aviation, terminals, water access, pipelines, and communication and transmission lines, with the goals of enhancing Fairbanks as the Alaska and Northern Region transportation hub, and increasing the capability to service international traffic.

MEETING TIME: The committee meets weekly from 7AM - 8AM at Denny's Restaurant on Airport Way.
