Fairbanks Senior Center Chair'ity Event
Chair'ity Event, a silent auction fundraiser in support of the Fairbanks Senior Center.
The Fairbanks Senior Center provides daily meals to over 200 seniors, transportation rides to and from their homes, and various support programs such as information resources for seniors and their families, the Homemakers program, as well as physical, intellectual and social activities. Though we are underfunded, no hungry senior is turned away at our door and we will do all we can to aid our community’s seniors in maintaining their independence and dignity. Our upcoming Chair’ity Event and the funds generated will directly support the Fairbanks Senior Center and all it does for an often overlooked portion of our community (and their families) of which most of us will one day join.

The Chair’ity Event 6:00pm April 23rd 2011 at the Elks Lodge will be a social evening with food, drink and music. All centered around a silent auction featuring chairs, some new and some used, that have been refurbished with their own unique touches by local artists and crafts people. All funds raised will go to the Fairbanks Senior Center to enhance its programs.
