Shipping and Receiving Manager - Geophysical Institute

If so, the Geophysical Institute is recruiting for a Shipping/Receiving Manager in our operations office. This position serves as a critical part of the institute’s operations infrastructure, shipping equipment, and other items all over the world to support faculty, staff, and students. In addition, this position has a wide variety of duties including labor support, oversight and direction for GI Expeditor, logistics, and occasional support of off-campus locations. This position is full, Grade 78, non-exempt, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package. Required education or training: Associate’s degree and two years of progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional required qualifications:
-Valid AK driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Three years of experience in the field of shipping and receiving and expediting required.
-One year of supervisory experience is required.
-Must have/be willing to complete Haz-Mat Recognition Training.
-Must have/be willing to complete Forklift Operator training/certification and maintain certification.
-Must have/be willing to complete Overhead Crane training.
