    Duties:

    The University of Alaska Fairbanks HVAC Shop seeks applicants for the position of Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform PM work in order to keep mechanical equipment in peak operating condition. Typical work will include changing air filters, greasing motors, cleaning mechanical equipment, and performing visual checks on a variety of mechanical equipment. Typical work schedule will be M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm. Successful applicants will demonstrate at least one year in a field related to this position (building or equipment maintenance), and be a high school graduate or equivalent. This is a range recruitment from MSW4 - CT2.

    Required education or training: 
    MSW4
    -Successful applicant will demonstrate at least three years in a field related to this position (building or equipment maintenance).

    CT1
    -3 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC/R equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    -At least one year experience performing preventative maintenance work on HVAC/R equipment.

    CT2
    -Five years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
