Ben Lomond, Inc is a licensed contracting corporation which also owns and operates various rental properties in Fairbanks, Alaska. These rental properties are Chenana Apartments, Executive Estates Apartments, and Little Dipper Apartments. Our properties range from condos to Section 8 affordable housing. Because of the great care we put into our properties, we are able to ensure that those properties can take care of our clients. As a family-oriented company, we focus on the families of both our clients and our employees. We encourage a work/life balance and offer a positive work environment!

You are responsible for overseeing 52 residential units varying from 1 to 3 bedrooms as well as attracting and educating new tenants. Your positive, friendly disposition comes through in all of your interactions whether that be interacting with tenants and visitors in person or over the phone.

Using your problem-solving skills you investigate and resolve tenant complaints. Some might find it stressful, but you thrive in this fast-paced and unpredictable environment. You are proactive and enjoy coming up with ways to prevent problems before they happen. You perform regular inspections of units and monitor resident satisfaction to ensure a positive living experience. And as always, you are looking for opportunities to improve the property.

Your organizational skills assist you as you file and process rental applications, update tenant files, manage HUD subsidy, and maintain regulatory documentation. You definitely have your share of paperwork to complete, but you enjoy the frequent interruptions and opportunities to interact with a variety of people.

    • Previous experience in property management or other related fields
    • Ability to work well under limited supervision
    • Precision in documentation

Do you have a warm personality with strong written and verbal communication skills? Are you people focused and able to easily build rapport? Can you multitask and prioritize effectively? If so, you may be perfect for this property management position!

The office is open from 12pm-6pm Monday-Thursday. This position requires a 40-hour work week, so outside of regular office hours, the schedule is flexible.
