This person will provide crisis intervention and support services to women and children living in the housing program and advocate on behalf of program participants to access community support and resources. The case manager will research, prepare, and facilitate groups, engage in and role model direct conflict resolution and mediation, address housing issues that require de-escalation and/or mediation. They will assist participants in areas such as grocery shopping, food boxes, paying bills, and keeping their unit in a manner compliant with basic health and safety codes. They will assist in securing income client qualifies for, such as disability, ATAP, ASAP, etc. The PSH Case Manager will maintain accurate client records and statistics information including the HMIS system as required by the agency and funders.
Applicants will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or closely related field; sufficient job experience may be used in lieu of education. They will have one year experience with trauma issues, crisis intervention, advocacy, and group facilitation.
They will maintain a valid AK Driver’s License and the ability to pass a background check. They will be proficient with computers and ability to do data entry, have the ability to lift 40 pounds and walk upstairs, and possess excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills.
Starting pay is $17.60 per hour but I can increase that if someone has a bachelor's degree and meets the preferred qualifications.
The new hire will help select their own schedule, generally between 9:30 am - 8:30 pm. Availability for at least one evening and one weekend shift would be preferred.

The new hire will immediately qualify for 10 paid holidays/year and can take up to 24 days leave/year after a 975 hour orientation period (26 weeks) or buy out their vacation time if they prefer.
