    Position Summary: Assists Rental Manager with rentals of ESI products and provides exceptional customer service.

    Duties:

    • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Equipment Source, Inc. products, services and pricing structure
    • Track incoming and outgoing rental equipment and keep accurate inventory
    • Determine customer needs and propose appropriate solutions,
    • Oversee and assist with loading and securing of equipment for delivery
    • Work with other departments to ensure equipment maintenance, repair, cleanliness and readiness for rental
    • Set positive and professional example for other employees regarding appearance, enthusiasm, attitude, attendance and performance
    • Observe health and safety precautions required to protect people and property
    • All other duties as assigned

    Education, Knowledge and Skills:

    • Valid Alaska Driver’s License
    • Driving record sufficient to meet company insurance standards
    • 3 years of construction/industrial rentals and/or sales experience required
    • Familiarity with construction equipment required
    • Forklift experience preferred
    • Experience operating equipment preferred
    • Able to learn, understand and use computer software and hardware, including proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Must present and communicate in a professional manner
    • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
    • Strong communication skills that include the ability to listen to, read, understand, write and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, train and respond; effectively conveying information to others, and giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
    • Able to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision; identifying what needs to be done and following through without instruction to meet or exceed goals
    • Able to prioritize and effectively manage time to complete tasks, thoroughly, accurately and timely
    • Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
    • Able to physically operate the tools and equipment necessary for the job
    • Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use and dexterity of arms, legs, and moving the whole body, to include, but not limited to, sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing and descending stairs and ladders; to operate equipment and tools requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; to verbally communicate to exchange information; to see and hear within a reasonable range for a shop environment with or without correction.
