Partners in the Park – Community Participation Invitation

As United Way of the Tanana Valley prepares to celebrate our 70th Campaign Year, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community members who help make the Interior such a caring and connected place to live.

To kick off this milestone year, UWTV is hosting a new FREE community event: Partners in the Park, taking place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Pioneer Park/Alaska Land Centennial Center.

This event is intended to serve as both a community appreciation celebration and an opportunity to highlight the incredible nonprofits and supportive businesses working every day to strengthen our community. We envision an afternoon filled with connection, visibility, family fun, and community engagement.

Families can enjoy:

• FREE hot dogs
• FREE Pioneer Park train rides
• FREE cotton candy
• FREE face painting
• UWTV swag bags (while supplies last)
• A community scavenger hunt with raffle prizes, including a planned $500 Grand Prize Gift Card

We are currently seeking interest from nonprofit organizations and community-supportive businesses that would like to participate as pop-up vendors. Participants are invited to bring their own table, tent, booth setup, activities, giveaways, or interactive displays to showcase their mission, services, or "what" they do in our community. There is no fee to participate.

Our community scavenger hunt encourages attendees to visit participating booths, learn about the organizations serving our community, and collect stamps along the way. Completed cards will be entered into a raffle drawing for exciting prizes generously donated by our community sponsors.

We are still seeking vendors, event sponsors, and scavenger hunt prize donors to help make this celebration even bigger and better.
