The 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment and the Fort Wainwright Equal Opportunity Office will host the 2011 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Jan. 13 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Fort Wainwright?s Physical Fitness Center.
The Fort Wainwright and neighboring communities are invited to attend and honor the courageous contributions that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has made to our nation.
The guest speaker for the event is Reverend Fred Wilson of the First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Fairbanks. The 9th Army Band will also be performing during the event, as well as a performance by members of the Child Youth Services here.
The event is free and open to the public. Civilians wishing to attend must stop at the visitors? center at the main gate with driver?s license, registration and proof of insurance.
