KUAC-TV / AlaskaOne will be off the air in Fairbanks from Sept 14-25 as we actively work to increase our digital signal coverage area with the final phase of the DTV Rechannelization project. This project will move, or "rechannel," KUAC-TV's digital signal from UHF 24 to VHF 9. Moving the primary signal to VHF digital 9 in Fairbanks will increase the ability of the digital signal to follow the terrain, increase the coverage area, and increase consistency. For all viewers who watch AlaskaOne "over the air" in Fairbanks via rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna, or in the Fairbanks area over DirecTV or DishNEt, there will be no signal between Sept. 14-25. After the 25th, please rescan digital tuners to lock into the VHF digital 9 signal.
