The biggest circus ever to come to the state will begin a 9 city tour in Fairbanks, Oct. 2-3 at Carlson Center. Nearly 20 acts include the Flying Trapeze, Balancing Rolla Bolla, Wheel of Death, a Michael Jackson tribute, clowns, Flying Silks and more. Don't expect elephants or lion trainers, this is a cirque-style circus with people performing for people. Pre-show and intermission activities include clown face painting, a Kid's Midway featuring bounce houses, a giant slide and obstacle course, toy and souvenir stands, concessions and photos with cartoon characters and circus artists. Ticket prices start at $11 for kids and $19 for adults. Fairbanks shows begin at 12 noon, 4 and 7:30 pm on Saturday, Oct. 2 and 1, 4 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3. The circus also will travel to Wasilla, Soldotna, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Anchorage, Kodiak and Nome, through Oct. 21.
