Flint Hills Resources Swap-O-Rama

The 3rd Annual Flint Hills Resources Swap-O-Rama is a community wide clothing, shoes and accessories swap for both genders and all ages. This event is a fundraiser for Green Star of Interior Alaska, a local nonprofit. Green Star promotes and preserves a healthy Alaska by encouraging and enabling our community to reduce waste and increase recycling. How it works: Thursday, August 25th and Friday, August 26th Noon-8pm - Early Drop Off Pioneer Park Civic Center Saturday, August 27th 10a-Noon: Drop Off Noon-4p: Swap! Pioneer Park Civic Center Early Drop Off: On Thursday, Aug 25 and Friday, Aug 26 from Noon-8p there will be an early drop off period. You are welcome to bring used or new clothes and accessories. We are accepting men's, women's and children's items this time around. All clothes must be clean and not damaged. You can drop them off at the Pioneer Park Civic Center or pull up to the Pioneer Park sign in the parking area and text 687-8444 for curbside pick-up. You may also drop off clothes on Saturday, August 27th from 10am-Noon before the swap. Speed Pass: If you register for the event online or at early drop off you will be allowed into the swap at 11:30am instead of noon! If you bring clothes on Saturday from 10am-Noon you will not be given a speed pass so get those clothes in on Thursday and Friday. Door Prizes: We have had several items donated to us. You will receive 1 door prize ticket if you bring clothes (even if you do not swap) and 1 for attending the event. Admission: It is $10 to participate in the Swap if you bring clothes and $15 to participate if you do not bring clothes. You will receive 1 bag to fill and additional bags can be purchased for $5. Vendors: We are accepting clothing, accessory and men's oriented vendors. We want to keep the vending within the theme of the event. Message or email Kara Nash (kara@eventalaska.com)
