Join us for our First Friday art exhibition on Friday, August 3rd, 5-8 p.m. at the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center. Our featured artists this month are Laura Sample and David Personius.
Laura Sample lives and works in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she currently focuses on works in pen and ink that illustrate some of the unsung species found in subarctic and arctic climates. Other works include pieces inspired from the human and natural environment, composed of ink, charcoal, and pastels.
David Personius is based in Fairbanks, Alaska and carves wooden shorebirds to raise awareness for migratory birds and to call attention to their critical habitat needs.
