Fairbanks Arts Association is excited to welcome exhibition year 2020 in a new temporary gallery space with a solo exhibit by Somer Hahm and a group exhibit by Nancy Hausle Johnson and Iris Sutton! Somer Hahm’s solo exhibition The Painted Quilt is inspired by the wealth of the American Patchwork, and directly investigates the timeless beauty of quilt block designs. The group exhibition Two Interpretations, featuring Iris Sutton & Nancy Hausle Johnson, celebrates the artists’ experiences and travel, the wildlife of Alaska and the beauty of the arctic in mixed media.
Come to congratulate the artists and stay to celebrate the grand opening of the Wandering Bear Gallery (3501 Lathrop Street, Fairbanks, AK 99701) between 5pm and 8pm!
