We have a doubleheader for this luncheon! Join us for an update on the historic North Slope deal that will provide a secure supply of natural gas to Interior Alaska for the next 20-30 years. Elena Sudduth, General Manager of IGU and Clay Beethe, Business Development Manager at Harvest Midstream Alaska will provide both utility & construction updates followed by Q&A in regards to this partnership as their organizations become the first in their industry to utilize North Slope natural gas to serve other regions of Alaska, thus serving IGU's commitment to our community and helping to improve our local air quality.
Following this presentation on the future of energy in Alaska, Karinne Wiebold, Senior Economist from the Alaska Department of Labor, will review the demographics driving housing trends in Fairbanks and share numbers behind the housing crunch. This presentation is in partnership with Cold Climate Housing Research Center for Fairbanks Housing Action Week.
