Diyet & The Love Soldiers bring an Indigenous world view to northern life with their mix of alternative country, folk and roots music. Based in Burwash Landing, Yukon, Diyet sings in English and Southern Tutchone, her native language, and plays bass guitar. She's backed by the Love Soldiers on acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, pedal steel and percussion.
Diyet was born in a tent and spent her childhood on the ancestral lands of the Kluane First Nation people. Coming from a family grounded in traditions but tempered with a good sense of adventurous hippie attitudes, Diyet creates a musical presence as diverse as her Southern Tutchone, Tlingit, Japanese and Scottish heritage.
