This lecture will provide an overview of the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge including a history of its establishment; it’s unique plant and animal resources; the management, subsistence and biological programs; and its context within the Alaska and National Refuge System.
Mark Bertram has served as wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 25 years and senior biologist on the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge since 1993.
