Cocktails & Connections: Meet PRSA Alaska President Heidi Embley

Join us in welcoming PRSA Alaska President Heidi Embley to the Golden Heart City. The Fairbanks chapter of PRSA Alaska is hosting a networking mixer to bring together public relations professionals at the patio of the Double Eagle Restaurant. This event is an opportunity to connect with your PR peers, learn how to get involved with PRSA and find out about exciting new job opportunities. This is an informal gathering, attendees will be responsible for food and drinks. Friends and significant others are welcome! As executive director of Communications for the Anchorage School District, Embley oversees public and internal communications for the district. She manages many informational campaigns such as Visit Our Schools Month, bond propositions, budget plans and curriculum matters. She writes copy for annual reports, brochures, speeches and news releases. In addition to serving as one of the superintendent?s strategic advisors, Embley manages multiple media requests each day and works with her team of colleagues who are responsible for the district?s website, TV station and print shop. Embley graduated from Dimond High School in Anchorage and earned a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in electronic communication from the University of Oregon.
