It's tough and often dangerous work shooting video on Alaska's rugged lands and perilous seas. It's even more challenging if you do it alone. Deborah Mercy has done just that for a quarter century. She will answer your questions about the challenges of shooting video in Alaska and show four short videos she recently produced on climate change in Alaska. Her videos tell a compelling and factual story on how rural Alaskans are grappling with the effects of a rapidly changing climate on their lifestyles, community infrastructure, and culture. Deborah is a commercial fisherman, scuba diver, former Anchorage television reporter, and for the last 25 years, the video producer for the Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program at UAF.
