our 3rd Annual Truck Touch on Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 11:00am ? 4:00pm.
The Truck touch is really about safety, education, family, and having fun. This event provides the opportunity for children and adults to explore vehicles of all types. We have fire trucks, police cars, K9 unit, rescue vehicles, antiques, classics, various construction vehicles, a helicopter, and even an airplane. We will have over 45 different vehicles on site. Children get the unique opportunity to really get up close and personal with the vehicles, play with the wheel, and honk the horn. The accompanying personal will teach the children about the equipment displayed and how these machines help us and our community. Additionally, we have a few vender spots which we have filled with companies who provide services, activities, and or products for children. We will have music, food, Tractor rides, Child ID and Fingerprinting, and Car Seat Safety Check, and much, much more.
Our vision is to create an event that will empower our youth, strengthen our community and families, and raise safety awareness. This will be a memorable day filled with spending quality time with family, fulfilling and building a fantasy of being a fireman, police officer, EMT, or wherever the imagination leads, ensuring child safety, education, and providing activities and service ideas that are available all year long to the Fairbanks community.
