Arctic and Northern Studies master’s students Molly Minick and Chase Thompson will share insights from the 2026 International Marine Summer Camp in Qingdao, China, sponsored by the Ocean University of China. Supported by the Arctic Leadership Initiative, Minick and Thompson participated in international seminars focused on marine sustainable development, coastal governance, and polar science. They will discuss how this global cross-cultural exchange connects directly to their thesis research—Molly on the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in the Arctic, and Chase on the Northern Sea Route and Northwest Passage. This event is free, open to all, and available in person or via Zoom.
