DESCRIPTION:The Northern Leadership Center (NLC) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is now accepting applications for a Leadership Workshop Series for the summer of 2013. This four-day workshop series is based on the highly successful UAF Summer Leadership Institute\, and is designed to develop leadership skills for students finishing 9-12 grade. The topics for these daytime workshops held at the UAF Community and Technical College will include personal leadership\, communicating and motivating others\, taking a stand\, and service leadership. The total cost for this series is $100\, which includes fees\, meals\, and program curriculum. Some scholarships are available on the basis of demonstrated financial need.\n\n\nApplications are available by mail or online. The application deadline is June 15th\, with preference given to those who apply by June 1st. However\, applications will be reviewed and processed on an ongoing basis until all spaces are filled.
